Jonathan, Wife, Oborevwori Attend Oghenejobo’s Wedding

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, including his wife, Patience, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State were among dignitaries that witnessed the wedding of Akpevwe and Andra Oghenejobo in Warri, Delta State.

The ceremony which took place at God’s Will Mission Inc, Orhuwhorun, Udu Local Government Area of the state, also had in attendance Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Senator Representing Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts, Senator Ede Dafinone, Senator Joel Thomas-Onowakpor, respectively.

Also in attendance were Member Representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Hon Julius Pondi, member representing Warri Federal Constituency, Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, Minister of State for Petroleum, Hon. Heineken Lokpobiri, Executive Vice-President Upstream, NNPC Ltd, Mrs Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, Executive Director Fenog Nigeria Limited, Matthew Tonlagha, Managing Director Amju Unique Microfinance Bank, Dr Jonathan Ososuakpor, AIG Zone 2 Ari Mohammed among others.

The groom Akpevwe is son of Engr. Augustine Oghenejobo, Chairman and Managing Director of Fenog Nigeria Limited, an independent, local, fully integrated Engineering Procurement and Construction company based in Warri, Delta State.

General Overseer of the church, Archhishop Solomon Gbakara in his sermon titled “The triangle of marriage”, described marriage as a legal union of man and wife for life and urged couples to love themselves as Christ loved the church.

He said marriage was the idea of God, adding that no culture or way of life can change God’s plan for marriage. He stressed that God created woman to solve the problem of loneliness in men.

The Cleric said for couples to have a successful marriage there must be good communication, tolerate and forgive one another as well as valuing and loving each other.

He urged wives to be submissive to their husbands while also encouraging men to love their wives to have a successful marriage.

Guests were later treated to a reception in Warri with gospel ministration by winner of Season 8, Nigeria Idol, Victory Gbakara and ace gospel musician, Frank Edward.
